Roy Earl Lawson, Sr., 95 of Danville, passed away on May 04, 2020.  He was born on January 28, 1925 in Bloomington, Indiana, to the late Jason and Grace (Mobley) Lawson.  Earl married JoAnna (Durham) Lawson and they were married 69 years before her death in 2015.  He was a Seaman First Class USNR and a huge fan of college basketball.  He was a wonderful man who always had stories to share and love to give.  He is loved and will be missed.  Survivors include his children, Judy Beckner and husband, Rick of Bloomington; Roy E. Lawson, Jr. and wife, Vera of Avon;  3 grandchildren, Jessica, Stephanie (Todd), and James.  Baker Funeral Home in Danville is in charge of the arrangements.  There will be no public service.
