Ronald G. Butler, 80 of Danville, passed away on August 30, 2026. He was born on February 09, 1946 in Columbus, Indiana, to the late Norma Jean (Hardin) and Charles Franklin Butler.

Ron spent many years in management for the Hospitality Industry. He also was a coach for both High School Varsity wrestling and football. Ron was an avid golfer, loved to landscape including working in the yard and planting flower beds. He was a member of the American Legion Post #118 and Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity.

Survivors include his domestic partner, Suzie (Sullivan) Butler of Danville; son, Ronald Corbin “Corby” Butler (Leslie) of Heritage Lake; daughter, Angela San Martin (Aaron Stevens) of Sterling, VA.; brother, Joseph Lane Butler (Dana) of Oregon; sisters-in-law, Nancy Butler of Columbus and Joni Sullivan Baker (Bill) of Cookeville, TN; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles F. “Frank” Butler, Jr.; and nephews, Jason Butler and Chris Banks.

Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the arrangements. Ron requested that there be no services. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Sheltering Wings P. O. Box 92 Danville, IN 46122.
