Robert R. Hammond, 57 of Plainfield, passed away on December 10, 2019.  He was born on January 13, 1962 in Indianapolis to Gayle and Mildred (Warren) Hammond.  Rob worked as a truck driver for Bulk Commodities in Pittsboro.  He was active in youth sports programs, both coaching and as an umpire and was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.  He was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church.  Survivors include his children, Robby (Lindsey) Hammond, Jason (Kenzie) Hammond, Brandy Miller; parents, Gayle and Millie Hammond; sisters, Kathy (Stan) Wininger, Kim (Wayne) Rigdon; and grandchildren, Emmitt Hammond and Hadlee Hammond.  Services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 14, 2019 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Reverend Steve White will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm on Friday, December 13, 2019 in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Plainfield Pee Wee Association or the Plainfield Softball Association.
