Richard W. Sowers, age 74, of Plainfield passed away on October 25, 2025.  He was born on December 30, 1950 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Homer and Betty Sowers. He graduated from Ball State University.    Richard was a teacher at Cascade Junior High for 30+ years before his retirement.

He is survived by his wife Jane Bridges Sowers.  Children: Anthony Sowers, Jessica Sowers and Christopher Sowers.  Step Children: Jill Hunter and husband Chad, Allen Zavela and his wife Ashley.  5 Grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.
