Richard W. Johnson, 87 of Avon, passed away June 09, 2020.  He was born on October 15, 1932 in Walnut Grove, Minnesota, to the late Glen and Minnie (West) Johnson.  Richard is an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict War.  He retired from General Electric in 1987 after 34 years of employment.  He attended White Lick Presbyterian Church in Avon.  Richard loved to play cards and watch baseball, especially the Boston Red Sox.  Survivors include his sons, Mark (JoAnn) Johnson, Shawn (Lisa) Johnson, both of Cincinnatus, New York; daughter, Lynn (Greg) Turner of Avon; and 6 grandchildren.  His parents, son, Michael Johnson; brother, Gerald Johnson; and sisters, JoAnn Momsen, Betty Abernathy and Lonnie Johnson, preceded him in death.  Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, is handling the arrangements.  At this time, there will be no service.
