Richard E. "Dick" Willis, age 91, of Danville passed away on May 29, 2025.  He was born on May 10, 1934 in Floyd County, Indiana to the late Clarence Charles and Dorothy Jane Harritt Willis.  He married Janice Elmore Willis on June 11, 1955; she survives.

Dick graduated from Purdue University with a degree in engineering. He worked for PSI Energy retiring in 1993 as Vice President of Power Production after 34 years.  Dick was a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield for 50 years. He was a member at the Plainfield Elks Lodge #2186. He served in the US Army spending time in Germany post WWII. He was an avid, accomplished golfer spending many hours on the course.

Although he was dedicated to his work he always had time for family and friends. His devotion to family made him a loving presence, always giving unwavering support. He delighted in telling his grandchildren tales about growing up on a farm. He will be missed by all, especially his wife whom he adored.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years Jan Willis.  Children: Deborah A. (Douglas) Vine and Richard E. (CeAnn) Willis.  Brother: Larry (Marty) Willis.  5 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday June 5, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Memorial services will follow at 6 p.m. with Father Rob Hausladen officiating.
