Richard A. "Buddy" Gaw, age 78, of Sellersburg, Formerly of Plainfield passed away on March 29, 2025.  He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on January 1, 1947 to the late George and Josephine Augenstein Gaw.

Buddy was a graduate of Plainfield High School class of 1966.  He navigated through life as a jack of all trades until he found his home at the Madison Regatta, a member of the safety and rescue team he became the director in 1989.

Survivors include his daughter: Sarah Taylor (Chris), Son: Brevin Gaw (Carter). Sister: Sandy Lambert (Dubbie).  Grandchildren: Christiana Kaster, Raina Taylor, Josie Taylor, Tristan Gaw, Carson Gaw and Charlie Gaw Great-grandchildren: Romeo Taylor and Legend Gaw.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Stepmother Ortha Gaw, Son: Cory Gaw, Wife: Judy Gaw and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday April 4, 2025 at 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Entombment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 9 a.m. until services in the funeral home.
