Obituary

Rex Allen Parsons, 67 of Danville, passed away November 04, 2020.  He was born on February 23, 1953 in Indianapolis to the late Adrian Arnold and Mary Catherine (Price) Parsons.  He married Barbara A. Gapen on August 03, 1974 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Indianapolis.  Rex graduated from Danville High School in 1971 and from Purdue University in 1975 with a degree in Agricultural Economics.  He was a life-long farmer. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Barbara Parsons of Danville; children, Jessie (Bryce) Wilson of Roachdale, Joe (Miranda) Parsons of Coatesville, Jon (Goldie) Parsons of Danville; siblings, Becky (deceased) Harvill (Herman), Patty (John) Zarate, Mark Parsons, Bill (Sue) Parsons, Teri (Dan) Carter, Laurel Parsons; 9 grandchildren, Reese, Sutton, Logan, Lydia, Landen, Adrian, Ransom, Pistol, Summit; and several loving nieces and nephews.  Services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 09, 2020 at the Dan Searcy Farm 595 W CR 500 N Pittsboro, IN 46167.  Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the service time.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hendricks County 4-H Foundation P. O. Box 7 Danville, IN 46122 or the Danville Chapter of FFA c/o Danville Community High School 100 Warrior Way Danville, IN 46122.
