Rebecca Jean Rutledge, 75 of Danville, passed away on June 15, 2025. She was born on March 14, 1950 in Indianapolis to the late Charles Montgomery Blackmore and Sally Ann (Hoskins) Hassell. She married James Leroy Rutledge on October 07, 1972 in Danville and he preceded her in death. Rebecca had an in-home daycare for several years and also worked for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. She was a member of the American Legion Post #118 Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her children, Angela Lacey of Louisville, KY., Brian Rutledge (Kelly), Clint Rutledge, both of Danville, Justin Rutledge of Speedway; siblings, Barbara Ducas (Brent) of South Carolina, Linda Leeke (Craig) of Zionsville, Doug Hassell of Hawaii, Lisa George of Indianapolis; 8 grandchildren, Brock (Mary), Austin (Sam), Brittany (Kevin), Morgan (Joseph), Shelby (Austin), Rylan, Dalton (Morgan), Joeleigh; 11 great grandchildren, Landon, Danny, Emma, Baylie, Lillian, Emersyn, Ensley, Ryder, Austyn, Rhylee, Tate; and her companion for the past 15 years, Gary Fleming.  A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the American Legion Post #118, Danville.  A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 28, 2025 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Danville American Legion Post #118.
