Phyllis Ballentine, 101, of Danville, passed away on August 03, 2024 at The Village of Avon. She was born November 01, 1922 in Sullivan, Indiana, the only child of the late Hazel Beatrice (Patton) and Charles Wesley Coffman. Phyllis married George Everett Ballentine, Jr. on January 09, 1944 in Sullivan and they were married for 73 years before his death on August 12, 2017. She was a homemaker until the boys went to school and then worked as a bank teller for First National Bank in Danville many years. Phyllis was a member of the Danville United Methodist Church, Prime-Timers Sunday School Class, Tri Kappa Sorority, Hendricks County Garden Club, and a 40 year plus member of Indiana Forestry and Woodland Owners. Survivors include her sons, Wayne E. (Jane) Ballentine of Fort Wayne, Scott W. (Vicki) Ballentine of Jamestown; 4 grandsons; and 6 great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 10, 2024 in Danville United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Danville South Cemetery. Calling will be from 10:00 am until the service time in the church. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Danville United Methodist Church 820 W Mill St Danville, IN 46122.
