Peter S. Combs III, 58 of Avon, passed away on August 27, 2025.  He was born on August 14, 1967 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, to Peter S. Combs, Jr. and the late Nancy (Gassenmeyer) Combs.  Peter graduated from Purdue University with a degree in RHI and later graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.  He has worked as a chef for the past 30 years and was currently the Regional Executive Chef at TouchPoint.  In his free time, Pete enjoyed hockey, playing golf, walking outdoors, time spent on the beach and he had a passion for dogs.  Survivors include his father, Peter S. Combs, Jr. of Avon; sister, Kara Moore (Kevin) of Plainfield; nephews, Ira Moore (fiancé, Lacey Miller) of Pasco, WA, Ari Moore of Pensacola, FL; niece, Cortnie Combs of Greenwood; and former wife, Sheila Gothard Harrell.  His mother and brother, Corey W. Combs, preceded him in death.  Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, September 05, 2025 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with visitation from 3:00 pm until the service time in the funeral home.
