Obituary

Pauline R. Hatfield, 93 of Avon, passed away on July 06, 2026. She was born on May 23, 1933 in Jabez, Russell County, Kentucky, to the late Josephine (Eller) and William Taft Ramsey. Pauline married Arnold Hatfield on May 25, 1951 and he preceded her in death.

Pauline was a homemaker and raised a garden for many years canning vegetables and also many jars of fruit from their orchard. She hand-stitched beautiful quilts and also enjoyed crocheting blankets. Pauline loved a good bargain and would go to yard sales. She played solitaire and euchre and watched Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, faithfully.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Tapp (Mike), Billy Hatfield (Ann), Brenda Harris (Herschel); grandchildren, Michael James Tapp, Matthew Tapp, Daniel Charleswood, William H. Harris II; great grandchildren: Tyler, Leah, Althea, Ella, Wren, Whitman Tapp and William H. Harris III; siblings, Betty Johnson, Patty Moran, Ronnie Ramsey, Doris Bell and numerous brothers-in-law; sisters-in law, nieces and nephews.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, Bobby Hatfield, Beverly Charleswood; grandchildren, Wayne Hatfield, Bradley Charleswood; four sisters and three brothers.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the service begins in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to your favorite charity in memory of Pauline.
