Paul Leach

Paul Leach, 97 of Avon, Indiana, passed away January 13, 2026. He was born on May 2, 1928 to Paul and Naomi (Uptagraf) Kendall Leach in what he always called the “big brick” in Lizton, Indiana.

Paul was married to Anna Byram on December 7, 1946. They were married 71 years before she passed in 2018.

Paul was a lifelong businessman of Danville, Indiana, owning Texaco Gas Station along with Harold Hawley. He enjoyed a clean and fast car. In 1982 he started along with his sons Leach and Sons Water Systems. This business is still operating today.

Paul was once Danville Rotary President. He was an avid sponsor of Danville Little League Baseball and coached over 16 years himself. He enjoyed many years with his wife in Naples, Florida in the winters playing golf.

He attended Danville Christian Church, Northview Christian Church, and Plainfield Christian Church over his lifetime.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, twelve siblings, wife, and son-in-law, Jim Switzer

He is survived by his sons, Michael (Rita), Rex (Sandy), Doug (Jan), Craig (Theresa), and his daughter Diana Jo Switzer.

The Paul Leach legacy will continue as 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren survive.

Calling will be Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 12 noon-1:30 pm in the Danville Christian Church 180 West Main Street Danville, IN. The funeral service will follow with Pastor Steve White officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the K of P Cemetery in Lizton, Indiana.
