Paul E. "Gene" Richardson, age 88 of Stilesville, passed away on November 20, 2021 in his residence.  He was born in Richland, Virginia on April 12, 1933 to the late Sherman and Hazel Newberry Richardson.  He married June Puckett on December 26, 1952; she survives.  He worked as a factory worker for Union Carbide for 25 years retiring in 1990, after retirement he worked at Wal-Mart in Plainfield part time.  Gene was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clayton.   He loved to raise mums and was also a part time farmer.  Calling hours will be on Friday November 26, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  A funeral service will start at 2 p.m. on Friday with Rev. Robert Sampson officiating.  Burial will take place in Clayton Cemetery.  Survivors include his wife June Richardson.  Sons: Allen Eugene "Sam" Richardson and Ronnie Paul Richardson.
