Patrick (Pat) M. O'Brien, 70, of Danville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016.  He was born in Keokuk, Iowa, on March 28, 1946 to James F. and Veronica E. Bechtel O'Brien who preceded him in death. Pat graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School, Keokuk, IA and Culver Stockton College, Canton, MO. He served in the US Army in Viet Nam from 1969-70 and was an active member of the Danville, IN American Legion Post #118.  Pat is survived by his four children, Erin (Mark) Garland, Patrick, Jr. (Ginger), Cory, and Casey (Kellie) O'Brien, former wife, Rita J. O'Brien and ten grandchildren, all of Danville. He is also survived by his two sisters, Jean Nash of St. Louis, MO, and Maureen (Bob) Creswick of Indialantic, FL and many nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at West Bridge Church, 1521 S County Road 75 W, Danville, IN. He will receive a military burial on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Clayton, IN Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to the Danville American Legion Post #118 Scholarship Fund 846 S SR 39 Danville, IN 46122.  Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is in charge of the arrangements.
