Obituary

Nelson W. Neighbors, age 68, of Brownsburg passed away at home on February 10, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on August 30, 1956 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to the late William Stanley and Elizabeth Maxine Morgan Neighbors.  He married Sandy Driver; she survives.

Nelson was a truck driver for 40 years, driving for Wal-Mart for 28 of those years retiring in 2019. He and his wife Sandy were junior high/high school sweethearts and were married for 47 years. His favorite thing was playing cards and games with his grandkids and being with family.

He enjoyed classic cars and enjoyed taking his 1951 Ford custom to car shows. He enjoyed playing the guitar and even had a family band the Baronets.

Funeral services will be held on Friday February 14, 2025 at 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Entombment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.  Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to services starting the funeral home at 1 P.M. on Friday.

Survivors include his wife: Sandy Neighbors.  Daughters: Crystal Neighbors and Jennifer Cannon (Dustin).  Siblings: Fostine Walker, Hascal Neighbors, Inez Hudson and Ruth Stotts.  Grandchildren: Destiny Cannon, Savannah Howard, Camden Howard and Barrett Cannon.  He was preceded in death by Siblings: Shelia Billadeau , Anthony Neighbors and Grandson: Peyton Neighbors
