Obituary

Myrtle Grace (Snipes) Harting, 102 of Danville, passed away March 15, 2019.  Born November 28, 1916 in Centertown, Tennessee, she is the daughter of Jesse Harmon and Sinda Anna (DeBerry) Snipes.  She married Laurel Harting and he preceded her in death.  Grace worked for L. S. Ayres for many years in the men's alteration department.  She was a member of the Cartersburg Community Church.  Survivors include her son, John (Phyllis) Hillis of New Palestine; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  Her parents, husband, sons, Coy Hillis, Arvel Grandstaff, daughter, Marie Cline, 1 brother, 7 sisters and a grandson, preceded her in death.  Services will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service in the funeral home.
