Melvin Otis Jester, 90 of West Lafayette, passed away December 06, 2019 at the Indiana Veteran's Home.  He was born on July 16, 1929 in Stilesville, Indiana, to the late Charles and Amelia Hack Jester.  Melvin was an U. S. Army veteran and worked in a factory during his lifetime.  Survivors include his brother, James (Janice) Jester of Coatesville and several nephews and nieces.  His parents and siblings, Kenneth Jester, Joy Phillips, Nyla Murphy and Raymond Jester, all preceded him in death.  A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in Stilesville Cemetery.  Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, is handling the arrangements.
