Maxine M. McNabb, 101, of Danville, passed away on January 11, 2025.  She was born on November 02, 1923 in Redding, California, to the late Harold Madison and Joy Cecilia (Morse) Howard.  She is an U. S. Navy veteran.  Maxine graduated from the University of Portland, College of Nursing.  She worked as a registered nurse for several hospitals retiring from Hendricks Community Hospital in 1991 after 27 years of service. She enjoyed watching baseball, baking and fine dining.  There was nothing better than a good, dry martini.  Maxine had a servant's heart and deeply loved her sons and their wives, and her grandsons and great grandchildren.  Survivors include her sons, John B. McNabb (Rebecca) of Clayton, Patrick H. McNabb (Jennifer) of Danville; 3 grandchildren, Patrick Howard McNabb, Jr., Benjamin Lee McNabb, Lucas Andrew McNabb; and 3 great grandchildren.  Her parents and son, Charles W. McNabb, Jr. "Chuck", preceded her in death.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville.  Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the service time in the funeral home.    Maxine was also an animal lover therefore, in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hendricks County Animal Shelter 250 E Campus Blvd Danville, IN 46122.
