Max E. "Skip" Turpin age 77, of Plainfield passed away on October 25, 2023.  He was born on March 29, 1946 in Indianapolis to the late Oscar and Adela Martin Turpin. He was the widower of Sharon Turpin.   Skip worked many years at the Plainfield Youth Center before his retirement.  Skip was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the VFW.  Survivors include his children Keith Turpin and wife Victoria, Matthew Williams and Erica Gearhart.  Grandson: Alexander James Turpin.  Several nieces and nephews.   Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday October 30, 2023 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Burial will military honors will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.  Calling hours will be on Monday from 11 a.m. until service time.
