Mary Edna Carter, 92 of Danville, passed away on October 20, 2024. One of eight children, she was born June 23, 1932 in Limestone, Tennessee, to the late Rosie Myrttle (Collins) and Samual B. Pleasant. Mary graduated from Bowmantown High School in Tennessee. She worked at Kmart for over 40 years retiring in 1996. Mary was an Elvis Presley fan, enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing cards, and loved to watch Tennessee football. Survivors include her children, Pam Wayne of Danville, Pat (Rex) Roseboom of Avon, Ted (Norma) Carter of California; sisters, June Bales, Carolyn Legg, both of Tennessee; 6 grandchildren, Rex Alan Roseboom (Wendy), Michael Wayne (Heather), Zachary Wayne (Kristen), Paige Wayne, Garrett Wayne, Christian Carter; and 4 great grandchildren, Hailey Heuser, Carter Wayne, Emilia Wayne, and Silas Roseboom. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 in the Clayton Cemetery. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the arrangements.
