Martha Jean Stout, 93 of Plainfield, passed away June 6, 2019.  Born July 25, 1925 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Darrell and Martha Ann (Ledig) Clearwater.  She married James "Jim" Stout and he preceded her in death in 1990.  Jean graduated from Shortridge High School and Ward Belmont College.  She worked for Central Normal College and also the Indiana Restaurant Association.  She was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church.  Jean enjoyed playing bridge with her family and friends.  Survivors include her daughter, Carol Stout of Indianapolis; brother, Dick (Gwen) Clearwater; grandsons, Adam Cooper, Ross Cooper, Barak (Heather) Stout, Dean (Lori) Stout, Jim Stout and great grandsons, Devin Stout and Billy White.  Her parents, husband and sons, Jay Stout and Dick Stout, preceded her in death.  Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with burial to follow in Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service in the funeral home.  Contributions may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation P.
