Madge M. Wood, 82 of Avon, passed away January 7, 2018.  Born April 19, 1935 on a farm in Hendricks County, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Marian Brown Covey and the granddaughter of Walter and Lola Brown.  She married Marvin L. Wood on May 31, 1958 in the former Bartlett Chapel.  Madge was a homemaker and worked beside her husband in the family business.  She was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Indianapolis. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Marvin Wood of Avon; son, Kevin (Josie) Wood; daughter, Jeanie Wood; sister, Sue Wood; 6 grandchildren, Allyson Allen, Justin Sorrentino, Shelby Wood, Jaclyn Becker, David Wood, Jennifer Moles and nephews, Brad and Darren (Ginny) Wood.  Services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 11, 2018 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in Danville South Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in the funeral home.
