Loyd E. Axe, 75 of Indianapolis, passed away November 27, 2018.  Born January 19, 1943 in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Curtis and Elouise Dixon Axe.  He married Nancy J. Ford and she preceded him in death in December 2010.  Loyd worked for General Motors for 27 years, retiring in 1994.  Survivors include his sons, Loyd Axe, Jr., Victor Axe, Danny Axe; daughter, Nancy Axe; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  A memorial service will be at 7:00 pm on Saturday, December 1, 2018 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with visitation from 5:00 pm until the service.  Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Maple Hill Cemetery Mausoleum.
