Loretta E. Davis, age 80 of Plainfield, passed away on November 30, 2022. She was born on February 14, 1942 in Commerce, Missouri, an island in the middle of the Mississippi River. She was one of 12 children born to the late Jennie (Clymer) and Guy Caldwell. Loretta married James E. Davis on December 23, 1960 in Indianapolis. She was a nurse and worked for several hospitals throughout her career in healthcare. Loretta enjoyed reading, shopping at Goodwill, and most importantly, spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Jim Davis of Plainfield; children, Terri Moore (Rick) of Danville, Pam Doll (Kevin) of Clayton, Jeff Davis (Trisha) of Brown County, Susie Zucco (Joe) of Jamestown, Brad Davis (Lisa) of Coatesville; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the arrangements.
