IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kirby E.
Glazier
December 20, 1940 – April 13, 2025
Kirby E. Glazier, 84, of Avon, Indiana, passed away on April 13, 2025. Born on December 20, 1940, in Lewiston, Pennsylvania, to W. Kirby and Jeanne L. (Harpster) Glazier, Kirby leaves a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara (Salyards) Glazier; his four children, Pamela Tucker, Bradley Glazier, Marci (Jon) Yochum, and Michele Reynolds; his seven grandchildren, Joshua (Ellre) White, Crystal White, Carsyn (Arnav Deshpande) Reynolds, Grace Reynolds, Claire Yochum, Chloe Reynolds, and Jack Yochum; and his great-granddaughter, Wren White.
Kirby received an electrical engineering degree from Indiana Institute of Technology in Fort Wayne, Indiana. His professional journey began with Public Service Indiana (PSI) in Plainfield, Indiana, where he laid a foundation for both his career and family. Driven by entrepreneurial spirit, he went on to establish and lead several successful businesses.
A longtime resident of Hendricks County, Kirby called Plainfield home for 31 years, where he and Barbara raised their four children, and then Avon, where they enjoyed 25 years as empty nesters, doting grandparents, and eventually, retirees.
Kirby found joy and relaxation in his passions. He was an avid golfer, finding camaraderie on the greens. He also possessed a keen eye for beauty and detail, which he expressed through his love of photography, capturing nature, landscapes, and precious family moments, particularly those of his grandchildren. No matter their interests, whether on the sidelines or in the auditorium, he and his lens would be there. His presence will be deeply missed.
In lieu of a public service, Kirby's family requests contributions in his memory be made to the IU School of Medicine Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine - Dementia Laboratory, Attention: Dr. Bernardino Ghetti, 635 Barnhill Drive, Room A138, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
