Keith Vernon Smith, 72 of Avon, passed away on July 16, 2026 at Hendricks Regional Health, Danville. He was born on December 10, 1953 in Indianapolis to the late Gwendolyn (Bade) and Alfred Vernon Smith.

Keith graduated from Northwest High School and worked as an electrician for 45 years retiring in 2010. He was a member of IBEW #481, Western Star Lodge #26 F & AM and the Sons of the American Legion Post #118, Danville. Keith enjoyed bowling, riding his Harley Davidson and participated many years installing the Circle of Lights for Christmas downtown, Indianapolis.

Survivors include his brother, Bruce (Dee) Smith of Spencer; sisters-in-law, Sandie Smith of Monrovia, Leslie Smith of Mooresville; nieces and nephews, Zach, Michelle, Bruce, Jr., Brandy, Jordan, Trevor, Brian; several great nieces and nephews; and many great-great nieces and nephews. Keith was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Kent Smith and Craig Smith.

Memorial visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Thursday, July 23, 2026 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with a Masonic Service to begin at 6:00 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Western Star Lodge #26 F & AM 34 East Main St Danville, IN 46122.
