Karen G. Shillings, age 82 of Indianapolis passed away on January 31, 2024 in her daughter's residence. She was born on November 30, 1941 in Indianapolis to the late Lawrence and Margaret Skelton Huffman. She was the widow of David Shillings. Karen was a homemaker and loving mother. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 2 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until services in the funeral home. Survivors include her daughters, Shannon (Mark) Carr, Joann Yarnell; sons,Mark (Kim) Tarter, Jimmy (Renee) Yarnell; sister, Inez Sue McGakey; 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchilren. She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Yarnell; daughter, Karey Smith; infant son, Jimmy Brian Yarnell; infant daughter, Lisa Marie Yarnell; granddaughter, Kailee Marie; and brother, Franklin Huffman.
