Joyce Eileen (Nash) Groover, 88, of Brownsburg, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mildred Campbell Nash, and one brother.  Joy lived most of her adult life in Danville with her late husband The Honorable Richard J. Groover.  Joy had been a resident of Brownsburg Meadows Assisted Living since 2015.  She was famous among her friends and family for her captivating "pen and paper" letters, and she will be remembered with love and a smile by all who knew her.  Joy is survived by her son, Doug (Pam) Groover of Westfield; daughter, Laura Groover Karnes of Speedway; 3 grandchildren, Tiffany Karnes, Justin (Sarah) Groover, Kelsey (Tyler) Taulbee as well as 3 great grandchildren, Logan, Zack and Aleigha Taulbee.  Services will be at 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 10, 2017 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with visitation from 4:00 pm until the service time.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Dementia Society of America (www.dementiasociety.org) or to the American Lung Association ( http://www.lung.org )
