Following his retirement from teaching, Joe was motivated to continue helping others, working at Hendricks Regional Health Hospital for five years. Joe was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, serving as an altar boy in his youth and a Eucharistic Minister for many years as an adult. Joe enjoyed all sports, but especially baseball, football, and golf. Joe loved nature, music, birds, gardening, working in his yard, summers of "Leedy" ball in the park, family trips to Siesta Key, and especially spending time with his family and friends.
