Jon B. Flathers, 83 of Danville, passed away June 14, 2019 in his home.  Born February 19, 1936 in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Marshall and Thelma (Henderson) Flathers.  He married Eleanor (Halcomb) Flathers on August 15, 1982 in the Danville United Methodist Church.  Jon was an U. S. Marine Corps veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #118 in Danville.  He worked at IMI for 25 years, retiring in 2006.  Previously he had worked at International Harvester for over 18 years.  A jack-of-all-trades, Jon could do it all. He was a journeyman, diesel mechanic, metal fabricator, woodworker, and the list goes on.  Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Flathers of Danville; children, James David Lewis, Lisa Marie (Dale) McMichaels, Lori Ann Hayden, Sharon Kay Risku, Joanne Dillon; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.  Services will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in Danville South Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service in the funeral home.
