John Herman Ogborn, 86, of Danville passed away June 19th at the VA Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born on February 3rd, 1930 in Center Point, Indiana to Albert and Alma (Hofmann) Ogborn. He worked for McDonnell Douglas as an electrical engineer from 1958 to 1973. He is a United States Army Veteran. He married Norma Webster on December 17th, 1960. She survives along with daughters Janice (Bob) Wilkins and Cheryl (Kevin) May; son John (Jeannette) Ogborn; 4 grandsons-Bryce Ogborn, Nathan (Emily Alter) Wilkins, Zakary May and Justin Wilkins; 3 granddaughters-Jessica (Matt Deer) Bleich, Erin (Ethan Spencer) Bleich and Alissa (Josh Phillips) Wilkins; 4 great grandchildren-Ciara Deer, Layla Raber, Caiden Deer and Haiden Phillips; brother Clyde (Eileen) Ogborn; sister Grace (Ken) Truitt; sister-in–laws Doris Ogborn, Glenna Ogborn and Judy Ogborn. John was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers-Sam, Clarence, Ben and Charlie and 1 sister-Lucy. Funeral Services will be at 10 am Friday June 24th in the Danville United Methodist Church with calling 1 hour prior to the service and Thursday June 23rd from 4-8 pm in the Church. Burial will be in Saint Johns Cemetery Clay County with Military Rites. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Danville United Methodist Church, 820 West Mill Street, Danville, Indiana, 46122.
