John A. McCarthy, Jr., 60 of Danville, passed away July 30, 2019.  He was born July 5, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joyce Jeanette (Morris) and John A. McCarthy, Sr.  He married Mary Jane Teckenbrock on August 5, 1978 in Danville.  John was a bus driver for Avon Community School Corporation.  He retired from IMI where he had been a truckdriver for several years.  He was a member of Northview Christian Church, Teamsters Local #716 and #135 and the Conservation Club in Danville.  John was an outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt.  Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane McCarthy; son, Travis McCarthy of Danville; sisters, Belinda (Bill) Flaherty of Danville, Tammy (Jason) Walls of Brownsburg; grandchildren, Abigail and Trevor McCarthy, both of Danville.  His sisters, Regina and Starla McCarthy, also preceded him in death.  Services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 3, 2019 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in the New Winchester Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the service in the funeral home.
