John J. Lehr, 91 of Danville, passed away peacefully at home on August 21, 2019.  He was born on March 30, 1928 in Indianapolis to the late George and Lillian Mary (Hayden) Lehr.  On January 29, 1949 in Indianapolis he married Patricia J. Foreman, the love of his life for over 70 years.

John was a member of the Teamsters Union #716 until his retirement.  John and Pat loved traveling the country.  They loved attending all of their children and grandchildren's sporting and school events.  They both loved classical music and attended afternoon tea symphony events.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Lehr of Danville; his children, Jan Smith (Ron), Joe Lehr (Diana), Cathy McClain (Bill), Butch Lehr (Connie), Mike Lehr (Connie), Chris Lehr, Mark Lehr (Patty), Kelly Lehr (Eva), Angie Wolff (John); his brother, Bob Lehr (Dot); 21 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren (with 2 more on the way) and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Services will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until the service in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of John may be made to the Alzheimers Association 50 E 91st St. #100 Indianapolis, IN 46240.
