John Dennis "Denny" Fajt, age 81, of Plainfield, passed peacefully away on September 30, 2024. Denny was born in Latrobe, PA to John R and Mary M Guzik Fajt. He married Patricia "Patty" Vadas on June 6, 1964; she preceded him in death in 2016. Denny was Chief Executive Officer at Paris Community Hospital in Paris, Illinois and had a 22+ year career as the Administrator of Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle, Indiana. Denny liked to fish with his grandchildren (mostly cleaning what they caught), golfing with his family, but most of all, loved spending time with his children and 19 grandchildren. He was an active member of St. Susanna Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be held on Monday October 7, 2024, at 11am with Father Rob Hausladen officiating. Private burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Calling hours will be held on Sunday October 6, 2024, from 1 to 4pm at Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Survivors include his children: Lisa Fajt Burke, Jason Fajt and wife Beth, Mark Fajt and wife Whitney, Jennifer Andres and husband Dirk, and Nicole Johnson and husband Sean. Denny's beloved grandchildren: Maureen "Mosie" (husband Wes Nash) and Maddie Burke, Matthew (wife Kori) and Andrew Fajt, Jed and Allison Fajt, James, Christopher, Thomas and Mary Claire Andres, Brennen, Christian, Anthony, William, Dominic, Anastasia, Aidan and Damian Johnson. Also surviving are Denny's brother-in-law Lenny Vadas and wife Sue, as well as sister-in-law Florence Fajt.
