Obituary

John George (Jack) Crider, 86, of Plainfield, passed away July 22, 2016. Born June 14, 1930 in Lebanon, he was the son of Lester (Dutch) and Nellie Cross Crider. He married Nancy S. Lewallen on January 14, 1951. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Crider of Plainfield; son, John L. Crider of Avon; daughters, Bonnie Holliday of California, Brenda Jay of Plainfield; grandchildren, Alisa Rouse, Amy Jay, Laura Jay-Ballinger, Sarah Crider,Ashley Barth, and 4 great grandchildren. In his early years, Jack served on the Lebanon City Council and was involved in politics in Lebanon and on a state level. As President of the Jaycees he was instrumental in organizing the 4th of July celebration the town of Lebanon enjoys today.  Jack and Nancy spent 27 years in Georgia where they worked side by side in the garage door industry.They enjoyed boating, antiquing, good food and each other's company. Jack and Nancy's remarkable love story lasted 68 years. Services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 30, 2016 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home,Plainfield, with inurnment to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon. Pastor Marilee Gabriel will officiate. Family and friends may call 2 hours prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Myelo Dysplastic Syndrome Foundation, 4573 S.
