John Richard Bull, 79 of Danville, passed away September 28, 2017.  Born July 28, 1938 in Marion, Ohio, he was the son of James O. and Vietta L. Johnston Bull.  John graduated from St. Mary's High School in Marion and was an U. S. Air Force veteran.  He married Jan Danneille Laurent on June 6, 1964 in DeRidder, Louisiana.    Mr. Bull was a manufacturing engineer and a paint line expert.  He was a member of the Indiana National Guard, Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent DePaul, American Red Cross and Civil Defense.  Survivors include his wife, Jan Bull of Danville; daughters, Susan (Jeff) Gackenheimer, Katherine (Rufus) Crumley, Barbara (John) Johnson; brother, Jack O. Bull; sister, Barbara Douthitt and six grandchildren.  His parents and one sister, Janet Schweirling, preceded him in death.  Services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in Danville South Cemetery.  Calling hours will be from 12:00 noon until the service in the funeral home.
