Jewell I. Kolcheck, age 91, passed away surrounded by her family in the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin, Indiana. She was born on August 18, 1935 in Sullivan County, Indiana to the late Russell William and Ruby Helen Ridge Wilson. She married Roy Thomas Kolcheck on January 28, 1955 in Indianapolis; he preceded her in death. Jewell worked as a CNA for several years before her retirement.

She enjoyed to crochet, reading, music, traveling and most of all spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held on Saturday October 31, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Private inurnment will take place in Mt. Zion Cemetery in New Lebanon, Indiana at a later date.

Survivors include her Children: Pamela Sue Osborn, Judy I. Profitt (Larry), Candace M. Grundza and Thomas H. Kolcheck (Shelly). She was preceded in death by a son Jerry Lee Kolcheck.

Grandchildren: Melissa Irene Ball (Rustin), Jessica Louise McFadden (Chris), Tracy L. Mills (A.J.), Ashley L. Leathers (Chad), Kristin Marie Kourt (Frank), Brandy Grundza (Brett), Jeremiah Neighbors (Ben), Kevin Kolcheck (Sarah) and Rachel Kolcheck. 18 Greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Mary Lutton, John Wilson, Rejean Gilbreath, Jerry Wilson, Robert Wilson and Linda Kay Black
