Jerry R. Whitten, 76 of Plainfield, passed away December 8, 2016 in his residence.  Born February 25, 1940 in Connersville, he was the son of the late Hubert and Ethel (Hood) Whitten.  He married Sandra Jacobs on June 11, 2016 and she survives.  Mr. Whitten worked as a printing manager for American States Insurance Company for 20 years, before retiring.  He was an U. S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #777.  Survivors include his wife, Sandra Whitten; daughters, Teresa Whitten Harrison (Brent), Alisa Whitten Lutes (Mark); brother, Keith Whitten; sister, Joanna Stevens; and grandchildren Ashley Harrison, Eric Harrison and Carter Lutes.  His first wife, Vesta Selke Whitten, preceded him in death.  Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 pm on Friday, December 16, 2016 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with the Funeral Service to begin at 7:00 pm.  Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in the Dale Cemetery, Connersville.  Contributions may be made to the Pink Ribbon Connection 1139 Shelby St Indianapolis, IN  46203.  Online condolences may be made at www.bakerfuneralservice.com
