Jerry Lee Svendsen, age 84, of Plainfield passed away on February 8, 2026 in Plainfield Healthcare. He was born on September 19, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Albert Robert and Charlotte Evelyn Ward Svendsen. He was a graduate of Plainfield High School in the class of 1959 where he played the saxophone and was a 4 year member of the baseball team. He married Janice Rose Svendsen in 1968; she survives. He was a United States Army Veteran and served in the 158th Army Band. Jerry worked for AT&T for over 40 years before his retirement in 2002. Jerry was an active member of the MGB car club, the Screaming Eagles R/C club and was very active in the Plainfield Girls Softball Association for many years.

Visitation will take place on Thursday February 12, 2026 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Private burial will be in Mill Creek Cemetery in Danville, Indiana.

Survivors include his wife Janice (Rose) Svendsen. Daughter: Emily (Svendsen) Muse (Tray). Grandchildren: Maxton and Baylor Muse.
