Jerome E. “Jake” Eavey, age 89, of Plainfield passed away on June 14, 2026 in his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on December 22, 1936 in Lima, Ohio to the late John Michael Eavey Sr. and Ida Zoe Eversole Eavey. He married Eschol Lorraine Eavey; she survives. Jake was a jack of all trades working at the senior center in Greencastle fixing things. He also was in sales and a truck driver.

Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday July 11th 2026 at 1 p.m. in The Church by the Side of the Road, 10323 East County Road 100 S. Avon, Indiana 46123

Survivors include his wife Eschol Eavey, Children: Jerry Eavey, Joey Eavey and Marlene Felton. Brother; John Michael Eavey, and lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his Children: Jeff Eavey, Tammy Mooris, Jody Tempe and Kristy Stetler. Sisters; Sarah Elizabeth Hagan, Eva Arminta Crane, Brother; George Marion Eavey, and 4 deceased grandchildren.
