Jerald Alfred Kleintank, 82, of Clayton, passed away on September 19, 2024.  He was born on July 06, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Ruth G. (Edwards) and Alfred R. Kleintank.  He married Gloria Jean Harding on December 18, 1962, and they were married 56 years before her death on October 08, 2019.  Jerry retired from the US Navy as a Senior Chief Fire Control Technician.  His duties would include inputting information to calculate the firing solution of a torpedo.  He also spent some years as a recruiter for the Navy.  After retirement, he worked as a maintenance supervisor for Target Distribution Center in Indianapolis.  He was a member of the Chapel West Seventh-day Adventist Church.  Survivors include his son, Phillip Kleintank (Linda); daughter, Teresa Seim (Paul); 4 grandchildren, Kittery Boeck (Joshua), Michaella Seim, Kierstin Seim, Wendy Kleintank Arndt (Micah); and brother, James Kleintank.  Jerald was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Kleintank and sister, Kimberly Kleintank.  A private graveside service with military honors was held at the Stilesville Cemetery.  Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, is handling the arrangements.
