IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeffery Vincent
Heidelberger
May 12, 1951 – August 30, 2022
Jeffery Vincent Heidelberger, 71 of Danville, passed away on August 30, 2022 after a brief illness. Jeff came into the world on May 12, 1951 in Indianapolis, as the second son of the late Harold Vincent "Dutch" and Mary Crystal (Thompson) Heidelberger. Jeff grew up on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis directly across the street from Holy Cross Catholic Church where he and his family belonged as parishioners. Jeff attended Holy Cross Grade School, and Scecina Memorial High School where he was a member of the wrestling team. Jeff completed high school as a member of Scecina's class of 1969 and then pursued higher education, earning an associate's degree in auto mechanics from IVY Tech in Indianapolis. However, upon graduation, he found auto repair work disagreeable. Instead, he chose to make a career at Marsh Supermarkets where he worked as a stockboy as a teenager. He served Marsh at stores in Indianapolis, Brownsburg, Plainfield, Danville and Mooresville for 40 years before retiring in 2015 as produce manager. Jeff loved NASCAR racing, watching the Indianapolis Colts and doting on his cat, Junior. Survivors include his seven siblings, Darlene Lime (Richard) of Greenwood, Linda Johnston of Fishers, Harry Heidelberger, Patrick Heidelberger, both of Indianapolis, Stephen Heidelberger of Southport, Daniel Heidelberger, John F. Heidelberger, both of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 07, 2022 at the Danville South Cemetery 515 S Cross St Danville, IN 46122.
