Jay K. Harbison, 75 of Plainfield passed away on July 30, 2021 in his home.  He

was born on February 7, 1946 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to the late Chester

and E. Maxine Murray Harbison.  He married Linda Cushman on August 17, 1969,

and she survives.  He was an US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam where he was

awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.  Jay was an IT manager for the State of

Indiana for 35 years, retiring in 2012.   Jay was a member of the Plainfield

United Methodist Church, the Amo Conservation Bird Dog Club and the Danville

Conservation Club.  Jay was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing,

trapping, skeet, and shooting precision air pistols and rifles.  Survivors include his wife, Linda Harbison, sons, Matt Harbison (Andrea) and Dave Harbison (Thy), and a sister Mischa Harbison (Robert).  Also four grandchildren; Reese, Gage, Gerald, and Jessa.   The Family will celebrate his life at a later date.  Please make all contributions to the Plainfield United Methodist Church Endowment funds: 600 Simmons Street, Plainfield, Indiana  46168.  Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield is handling the arrangements.  Please visit www.bakerfuneralservice.com to leave the Harbison family a condolence.
