Jane Ebner Martin, age 90, of Plainfield passed away on November 27, 2025.  She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 29, 1935 to John and Mary Turner Ebner.  Jane was a graduate of Shortridge High School and attended Indiana University.  She married John Martin and they were married 61 years before his death in 2020.  Before retirement, she was an Administrative Assistant to the Dean at Christian Theological Seminary.  In addition to service in her church, Jane volunteered for civic organizations including St. Vincent Auxiliary, Ronald McDonald House, Plainfield Schools, Washington Township Schools as a member of the presidents' Council and Washington Township Planning Committee.  She was currently a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church, member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.  John and Jane appreciated their loving and supportive family, their extended families in California and Canada, all wonderful friends through the years and the nurture from their churches.

Survivors include Mary Anne Martin (Sonny Griffith), Cathy Stenger (Orville), grandchildren Tyler Stenger, Hope Hale, Catherine Mariel and Will Griffith.  Great-granddaughter Elsie Hale and Great-grandson Leland Hale.  Jane's parents, sister Jo Anne Burr and Great-grandson Cypress Hale preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday December 7, 2025 at 2 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  No visitation will be observed.  Private burial will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.
