James Theodore Stoneking, 85 of Coatesville (formerly of Danville), passed away on November 01, 2024.  He was born on August 04, 1939 in Indianapolis to the late Mary Augusta (Stegemoller) and Theodore Stoneking.  James married Janet Darlene Gallatin on August 04, 1960 in Harrogate, England, and she preceded him in death on November 21, 2020.  He was an U. S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion.  James worked as a computer operator at RCA for 35 years retiring in 2001.  Survivors include his children, Janalynn (David) Hess of Greencastle, James Bryan (Janet) Stoneking of Danville; sister, Luella Whitaker of Avon; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.  His parents; wife of 60 years, Janet Stoneking; brother, William Stoneking; and grandson, Ryan, preceded him in death.  Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the arrangements.  There will be no services.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Putnam County Animal Care-Animal Shelter 4700 SR 240, East St Greencastle, IN 46135 or Hendricks County Animal Shelter 250 E Campus Blvd Danville, IN 46122.
