James L.  "Jim" Lund, age 92 of Plainfield, passed away on August 12, 2021.  He was born on November 08, 1928 in Quincy, Indiana, to the late Dahrl and Mary Lois Thompson.  He married Joan Small on February 13, 1954.  Jim was an auto mechanic for 38 years at Paul Harvey Ford of Indianapolis, retiring in 1991. He is an U. S. Army veteran serving from Aug 49 to Feb 50, and  attends the Calvary Bible Wesleyan Church.  Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Joan Lund of Plainfield; sons, James Lund II (Kathleen), Joseph Lund, Jonathan Lund (Cheryl); brothers, Hubert Lund, Harrold Lund (Bonnie); sister, Betty Davis; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Calvary Bible Wesleyan Church 168 Lawndale Dr. Plainfield, Indiana 46168.  Burial will follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.  Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until services in the church.  Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, is in charge of the arrangements.
