James C. "Buddy" King, age 78, of Avon passed away on May 20, 2025 in his home.  He was born on October 14, 1946 in Indianapolis to the late Virgil "Bud" King and Elizabeth "Vit" Roska King Farmer.  He was the widower of Beverly Sue King who preceded him on February 10, 2021.

Buddy was a welder for AM General in Indianapolis for 32 years retiring in 1996.  He was a member of Kingsway Christian Church, NHRA Drag racer, loved to play golf, loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed meeting his buddies for lunch.

Visitation will be held on Saturday May 24, 2025 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Funeral services will start at 4 p.m. in the funeral home.

Survivors include his children: Johnny (Tracy) King, Kim Olmstead and Kelly (Patrick) Dick.  Brother: Jack King. Sister: Susan Black.  Grandchildren: Brad, Jason, Joshua, Jordan, Jared, Jake, Ava, Kevin and Gary.  9 Greatgrandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a Brother: Billy King.
