James H. "Jim" Lipps, Jr., 62 of Avon, passed away on January 31, 2023.  He was born on July 24, 1960 in Covington, Kentucky, to JoAnn Kerr Lipps and the late James H. Lipps, Sr.  Jim graduated from Muncie South High School. He married Lisa Horstman on June 27, 1981 in Muncie.  Jim was an industrial parts sales representative for Motion Industries in Indianapolis for the past 25 years, servicing factories and plants across the city.  He enjoyed fishing, golf, and most of all boating with his family and friends. Jim will be remembered for his honesty and dependability, his intelligence and his deadpan dry wit.  Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Lisa Lipps of Avon; sons, Michael Lipps, Aaron Lipps; daughters, Sarah Lipps (Alan) Jordan, Rachael Lipps; mother, JoAnn Lipps; brother, Bob (Lorrie) Lipps; and grandchildren, Emily Lipps and Graham Jordan.  His father and brother, Jerry Lipps, preceded him in death.  Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, February 09, 2023 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 10, 2023 at St. Susanna Catholic Church, Plainfield, with Father Rob Hausladen officiating.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness at NAMI Indiana, Inc. 921 E 86th St Ste 130 Indianapolis, IN 46240 or Misty Eyes Animal Center 616 S CR 800 E Avon, IN 46123.
