Jacqueline Kay McFarling, 87 of Avon, passed away on July 24, 2026, surrounded by her family. Jackie was born on February 27, 1939 in Indianapolis, to the late Maxine (Bennett) and Charles Blackwell. Jacqueline married Robert E. McFarling (Bob) on September 18, 1960, at the University Park Christian Church in Indianapolis.

Jacqueline worked as a librarian at Indianapolis Public Libraries for many years before her retirement. She was an avid golfer, homemaker and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Bob McFarling of Avon; son Rob McFarling of Indianapolis; daughter, Susan Crumley (Jim) of Fort Wayne; 2 grandchildren, Jimmy Crumley of Speedway and Ally Crumley of Fort Wayne., all of whom is adored and was very proud of. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bobby Blackwell.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2026 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with entombment to follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery mausoleum, Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service time in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Shriners Hospital for Children.
